How To Prepare For A Call With A Rental Manager
A practical checklist so timeshare owners can have a calm, productive first call — documents, questions, and what good process feels like.
Published 2026-07-23
A first call with a rental manager should feel like a professional services conversation, not a high-pressure presentation. Prepare a short list of facts and questions.
Have handy: developer or club name, approximate points balance, home resort if any, membership level if known, and whether you still need personal-use dates this year.
Ask about money: Is there an upfront fee? What percentage of what amount do I keep? When am I paid?
Ask about operations: Who lists the stay? Can I still use points for family trips? What happens if something does not book? How do I end the agreement?
Prefer calls during published business hours, with a real phone number you can call back. Bring a spouse if decisions are shared. Take notes.
